The North Island has received funding for some health care pilot projects.
Port McNeill Mayor Shirley Ackland says the Mount Waddington Collaborative Working Group has received $475,000.
She says part of the money will be used to develop a series of recommendations on how to improve the current level of care, looking at a patient-centered approach.
