Swimming pool Survey available

The Port Hardy swimming pool has reached its limit.
The facility is now over 40 years old, and the District of Port Hardy is taking the first step in renovating the city pool and recreation centre.
City council is looking to the public for input on what the needs of the community are before any work will be done.
Mayor Hank Bood says there are a few options for the facility; renovating the existing pool, renovating and extending, or rebuilding.
Bood says the cost of repairing it is getting to be equal, or about the same as putting up a new building.
All details can be found on the city’s website, and to take the survey, head online at porthardy.ca
