Residents living across North Island can expect a scheduled power outage this weekend, according to BC Hydro.
Hydro says that crews will be performing maintenance work and replacing transmission structures that feed the Island.
The outage is scheduled to affect Port Hardy, Port Mcneill, Port Alice, Alert Bay, and other surrounding areas. It’s scheduled for this Sunday, May xx, lasting from 7 am to 5 pm.

BC Hydro advises you to unplug all electronics, turn the lights, electric heaters, and major appliances all off during the outage.
