A wind warning is in effect for the North Island this afternoon.
Environment and Climate Change Canada says North Vancouver Island will be seeing strong winds of up to 90 kilometers per hour, with gusts to 110 kilometers because of a low-pressure system that’s moving onshore in the area.
The strong winds could damage trees and cause power outages.
