Where to get your tree chipped this weekend on the North Island

With the holidays drawing to a close you might be wondering what you can do with that Christmas tree. 

There are a few options for getting rid of your tree around the North Island this weekend. 

In Port Hardy the public works yard is taking trees free of charge. They are asking that the branches are cut into pieces no longer than 2 inches in length. 

If you’re in Port McNeil or Port Alice, you can drop your tree off at the 7-mile Landfill free of charge if it’s smaller than 2 inches in diameter.
