Emergency services are looking for a missing man after his kayak was recovered near Tahsis over the weekend.
Allan Duarte Da Rosa was reported missing to Coast Guard and police on Friday evening, after he failed to return to the west side of the Tahsis Inlet. He had departed around 5 pm, Nootka Sound RCMP were called in at 10 pm to assist in the search.
Tahsis Coast Guard and Ground Search and Rescue searched the inlet and all access points. The kayak was recovered near Tahsis Narrows but the man was not located.

He is 6 foot 4, 21 years old with dark hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black jacket.
