The Port Hardy pool is finally open, after nearly three years of repairs and renovations.
Even Mayor Pat Corbett-Labatt and Councillors Janet Dorward and Treena Smith got in on the celebration Monday, jumping into the pool after welcoming the public with a speech. In total about 170 swimmers and viewers came out for opening day.
The pool has regular programming back on the schedule, including Aquafit, Lengths, and Parent and Tot swims.
