Drugs and Cash Seized by Port Hardy RCMP

The Port Hardy RCMP continue to investigate after seizing a significant amount of illicit drugs and cash late last week.

On June 20, 2024, RCMP officers arrested two individuals in a vehicle near Granville Street and Highway 19.

Police then executed a search warrant that evening in the 4000 block of Byng Road in Port Hardy, seizing 1.3 kilograms of drugs and over 20-thousand dollars in cash.

Investigators have forwarded their recommendations on charges to the Public Prosecution Services of Canada.

The RCMP in Port Hardy urges anyone with information regarding drug trafficking or other criminal activity to contact the detachment.

Acting Commander, Sergeant Trevor Busch, says they remain focused on targeting and disrupting illicit drug trafficking in the community.
