Port McNeill continues to enjoy another banner year for tourism, with numbers at the visitor centre up significantly from last year.
In a report to town council this week, Community Development and Engagement Manager Chris Woo reports that the total number of visitors in 2024 is nearly 30% higher than last year, with more than 2,500 individuals and 1,700 groups checking out the Port McNeill visitor centre.
Woo says there has been a steady influx of visitors from all over the globe. The majority are from BC, but there has been a large influx of visitors from Europe, and others from Canada and the United States.
