A conference dedicated to decolonizing addictions is taking place in Port Hardy.
Called the Decolonizing Addictions Conference, it’s a three-day event focused on teaching people about decolonizing addictions, which comes as many Indigenous people are affected by the toxic drug crisis.
The conference will see multiple workshops, with topics ranging from the link between colonialism and Indigenous Health to cultural knowledge and substance use.
