No tsunami is expected after a 4.8 magnitude quake was registered off the coast of Port McNeil.
According to Earthquakes Canada, a 4.8 quake registered at a depth of 10 km 186 kilometres from Port Hardy early this afternoon (Dec. 25).
There were no reports of damage, and Earthquake Canada says none would be expected.
