Public invited to open house for NIEFS’ new home

The North Island Employment Foundation has a new home in Port Hardy.

The society has moved operations from the Thunderbird Mall to 102-7160 Rupert Street, the former location of Monk Office Supplies.

Shannon Baikie, the society’s executive director, says they are excited to be in a new space that allows them to expand and build on the services they offer to people looking for work as well as services for employers.

She says NIEFS [NYE-effs] wants to help more people and businesses on the North Island access the support they need to succeed in today’s dynamic economy.

The new offices are now open but there will be a special open house later this month to officially celebrate the new location, it’s on January 23 from 11 am to 3 pm.
