Arctic outflow conditions are expected to bring cold temperatures and heavy snow flurries to most of the Island and Sunshine Coast starting this afternoon, and continuing over the next several days.
Environment Canada says heavy flurries and cold temperatures are expected as arctic air invades the region and an upper low brings moisture.
It’s not certain yet how much snow will fall, but the agency says it’s likely to cover most of the Island and coast.

Travelers should be advised that convective snow flurries could cause sudden reductions in visibility. Drivers should also check Drive BC’s website for the latest conditions, and real-time webcams.
Meanwhile, expect temperatures this week to be up to 8 degrees below seasonal norms.
