Contractor sought to develop Mt Waddington housing report

The Regional District of Mount Waddington is preparing an interim housing and is looking for a contractor to carry out the work.

The district needs to better understand current and future housing requirements and to guide future policies for the region.

It is inviting qualified contractors to submit proposals for the preparation of an Interim Housing Needs Report (HNR) and Assessment.

The report will assess housing needs for the next 5 to 20 years, analyze housing demand near transportation infrastructure, and provide a summary of actions the district has taken since the last report.

“The selected contractor will be responsible for the following tasks,” said the district.

“Review the RDMW’s previous Housing Needs Report to identify areas that require updating, collect and analyze current data on housing needs, assess the current and anticipated housing needs, analyze the need for housing near key transportation infrastructure, provide a description of actions taken by the RDMW to reduce housing needs, and submit a complete Interim Housing Needs Report by July 2, 2025.”

The contractor should also send a draft of the report to district staff for review, before sending a final version based on their feedback.

To send a proposal, they ask qualified contractors to email it to Development Technician Emmanuel Okorji at [email protected] by March 17.
