Having served the riding for nearly a decade, Blaney says it’s been an honour being the representative of the region.
“I’m deeply thankful for every conversation, every idea shared, and every moment of collaboration,” said Blaney.
“From the fight to bring back spot prawn sales to making sure those who needed the Disability Tax Credit during the pandemic could access it, to securing vital resources for our region, I’m proud to have collaborated with so many wonderful people in North Island – Powell River.”
During her tenure, her work included initiating Invisible No More: The Experience of Canadian Women Veterans, a study on the challenges faced by women veterans, introducing the Service Animal Bill, advocating for ending the Marriage after 60 Clause, and introducing a bill to enshrine the right to housing.
She adds she’s proud of the team she’s worked with during her tenure.
