The final touches have been put on the artwork adorning BC Ferries’ newest vessel. The Salish Orca will be the company’s first natural gas powered ferry and will service the Comox-Powell River route.
Ferries spokesperson Deb Marshall says a time-lapse video showcasing the decal can be viewed online. Marshall notes the artwork was done by Darlene Gait, a member of the Esquimalt First Nation.
The Salish Orca is expected to arrive in BC from Poland by the end of this year. The time-lapse video can be viewed through BC Ferries’ Facebook page.
