The holiday shopping season is here and Mounties are reminding people to make sure their purchased gifts are secured.
RCMP Constable Rob Gardner says it’s important to keep your car doors locked and to make sure valuables like Christmas presents are not visible.
Gardner says in most cases – people don’t break into locked cars, but the chance of that happening rises when valuables are left unattended.
Gardner adds the RCMP regularly respond to reports of items being stolen from vehicles.
