This is National Volunteer Week.
Louise Howes with Volunteer Campbell River says many community events wouldn’t be possible without volunteers.
Howes says one misconception about volunteering is that it is a large time commitment.
She says there are lots of single-day or event-specific opportunities where people can volunteer without a long-term commitment.
