A Victoria company wants to bring more people to the North Island’s Mount Cain ski hill with a new bus service.
Western Educational Adventures is canvassing communities on the Island, asking for support while the company applies for a special bus licence. Company director Landon Kimmel says in a letter to Campbell River’s mayor and council that the route could have spin-off benefits to the city, bringing more visitors to town during winter months.
Kimmel says the service will offer an affordable, reliable and family-friendly bus service to connect people on the South Island with the ski hill north of Woss. He says if they get the green light, the company will also look at extending the service to the Mount Washington ski resort.
