Port Hardy arena needs your help to win this year’s Hockeyville challenge

Port Hardy has joined the Kraft Hockeyville 2025 competition, and needs community support to make it to the final voting stage.

If the Don Cruickshank Memorial arena makes it to the final four, it will be in the running for $250,000 in funding to improve the arena. Port Hardy will also host an NHL pre-season game.

To rise in the rankings, community members need to send in their stories, photos, and videos – which are worth the most points – explaining why the arena is such an important part of Port Hardy.

Several community members have submitted their stories already.

Submissions are open until March 2, the four finalists will be chosen by judges on March 15.
